Arts & Sciences Laboratory Sciences Building, St. Louis, MO
The new arts and sciences teaching and research (Laboratory Sciences Building) facility at Washington University will be a stand-alone, state-of-the-art teaching facility with emphasis on education in the field of chemistry. The building will accommodate five general chemistry, five organic chemistry and two advanced chemistry teaching laboratories, each for 20 students, as well as support space, offices, and a 300-seat auditorium. Teaching (general and organic) laboratories feature unique design aspects, including the provision for one 5-ft. fume hood assigned to each student.
