Kathy Machin is a principal for GPR Planners Collaborative, Inc. Her expertise involves coordination of functional and space programming activities, computer database management as well as development of report documents. Special areas of responsibility include facilities master planning, existing space utilization analysis, staffing analysis, on-site surveys and interviews, macro- and micro-level planning for corporate and academic research facilities.

Engineering Centers Building, Madison, WI...developed a planning grid for the laboratories and class 10-10,000 clean rooms.

University of Rochester
Medical Research Building, Rochester, NY...planned and designed large, open generic laboratories while support spaces were tailored to specific needs.

University of Wisconsin
School of Pharmacy, Madison, WI...planned all 4 floors as typical, generic laboratories and designed first linear equipment room on campus.

Cornell University
Life Sciences Technology Building, Ithaca, NY … The Life Sciences Technology Building will house the disciplines of Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, Basic Biology, Computational and Statistical Biology, Plant Functional Genomics and includes a Business Incubator. Specialty spaces include, a learning center, imaging facility, MRI, laser labs, tomography labs, electro physiology labs and biophysics optical electronic labs.

University of Connecticut
Pharmacy / Biology Building, Storrs, CT … is intended to serve the growing research laboratory and instructional needs of the School of Pharmacy, as well as, research for the departments of Ecology Evaluation and Biology (EEG), Physiology and Neurobiology (PNB).
