Jay L. Hoffman, RAAssociate Principal Jay Hoffman is an Associate Principal at Jacobs Consultancy/GPR in California. He is responsible for laboratory programming and design consulting services for clients in the United States and abroad. Mr. Hoffman has more than eighteen years of experience in laboratory design and project management for technology, healthcare, educational, industrial manufacturing building projects. His assignments also include existing facilities analysis, design concepts, and macro- and micro-level development of laboratory and animal facilities. University of California, Los Angeles Seismic Replacement Research Bldg. 2 / J. Vernon Luck Sr., M.D. Research Laboratories … program, design and provide construction documents for 225,000 GSF - two distinct buildings which have been joined together creating this unique project. The J. Vernon Luck Laboratory supports the orthopedics research and UCLA’s work in developmental biology while SRB2 is unique in that it integrates research activities of both the Medical School and the Life Sciences program. The project included wet laboratories, laboratory support space, supporting administrative facilities, teaching and collaboration spaces. A basement level vivarium supports Seismic Replacement Building 2, as well as, the adjacent Luck Laboratory and Life Sciences Building. Arizona State University Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building, Phoenix, AZ … GPR programmed and designed this new 155,000 GSF Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building. This state-of-the-art laboratory building is home to faculty and researchers from ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and its Fulton School of Engineering. It houses research supported by analytical and computational laboratories. University of California, Merced Science & Engineering Building, Merced, CA…designed research laboratories for 171,000 GSF Science and Engineering Building includes laboratories for research and instruction, a small-animal vivarium and related academic program support and departmental space in approximately 102,000 ASF. The Division of Engineering focuses on: Computing & Communications; Energy Conversion & Resources Engineering; Biotechnologies & Bioengineering. Natural Science disciplines include: biological sciences; chemistry; earth sciences; mathematics & physics. |
